Blood Magic

Blood magic is a Wowie 2021 game jam game. The theme of the jam was: FAILURE IS PROGRESS.
You are cast out Blood Magician that almost lost all of his power. Now you are looking for revenge and a way to restore the power you lost. Go through Blood Mage's stronghold and fight your way to meet the grandmaster and kill him to absorb his blood and be full again.
Your blood is your main resource: Health, Ammunition, Ability usage. When you use all your blood you will die. But don't worry when you will die you will leave your sack of blood behind and be reincarnated at the beginning. Now your blood sack is your refill for your precious blood. Use it wisely as placement of your death is crucial.
Controls:
WASD/Left Stick - Movement
SPACEBAR/A - Jump
LEFT SHIFT/ LEFT BUMPED - Dash
R/B - Remove Your bodies and gain instant refill of blood (but loose bodies on level)
ESC/Start - Menu controls
Left Mouse Button/ Right Bumper - Shoot
The game can be played with a controller or mouse and keyboard. Menus need to be operated by a mouse.

Visually very interesting, but I find it hard to figure out exactly what I am supposed to do or how I am even taking damage.
Thanks for feedback :) Your health is your ammo and you use health by using skills. So You lose health by getting hit by enemies/shooting/using skills. When you die you will drop "ammo refill" body so you can plan combat in a way to drop dead ingood place and then reset and take same encounter with ammo refill. So Failure is Progress :
